Sun City Sound...

Who would have thought that 3 Engineers and a Grocery Produce Manager would get together and form a quartet. But that’s what happened when Mike Conner, the elusive Tenor, moved into Sun City Anthem. This is what the 3 Engineers—Mike Hurwitz (Lead), Stan Ackers (Bari) and Fred Goldberg (Bass)—had been hoping for in order to form a quartet in our community. Thus, Sun City Sound was born. Our goals are to have fun singing together, be entertaining, and keep improving, while building a repertoire to be able to sing for almost any occasion.

So far it has been working well, as we have sung at many functions, parties and shows in our own Anthem community, as well as for other adjacent communities over the past two years. One of the nicest compliments is being called to come back again. We sure hope this will happen sometime. Seriously though, this has happened—twice from other adjacent communities, and from word of mouth there have been many follow on appearances in our SCA community. We really enjoy performing for these very appreciative audiences!
